We specialise in legal, financial and pharmaceutical translations from English into German and from German into English.

Contracts, terms and conditions, court decisions and rulings, solicitors' writs, articles of corporation, annual accounts, insurance claims, SOPs, inspection reports, information leaflets, informed consent forms … There are many types of more or less official documents which need to be translated from one language into the other.

Our company offers a comprehensive and affordable specialist translation service ensuring the highest quality standard. We are a small, dedicated team and specialise in the translation of legal, commercial and pharmaceutical texts. As a language service provider we only translate from different flavours of English (UK, USA, CDN, AUS) into German (DE, AT, CH) and vice versa..
Our certified translators are law graduates and/or trained legal professionals. They have experience with both common law systems, e.g. England and Wales, and civil law systems, e.g. Germany or Austria. In addition they know and understand the language used by SEC, FSA, FDA, BaFin, or BfArM to name just a few.

We can deliver 'Certified Translations', having them 'Notarised' and we are also able to arrange for an 'Apostille', if needed,

There are many types of official texts which may need to be translated. Our translators have the knowledge to deliver an excellent translation which will be understood by the reader and accepted by business partners, government agencies, lawyers, and courts.

Our translators are aware of the danger of misinterpreting the purpose and background of the translation to be done. Therefore we will contact our clients whenever necessary to avoid such risks. Often a very technical langauage is used in the texts to be translated. This is easily to be misunderstood if not used properly. Our aim is to avoid all unnecessary technical terms but to use specific terms where they are anticipated by the target language reader.

We do not use machine translation (MT). While we think MT is a powerful tool in some domains, we believe it is the best to restrain from using it for legal translations.

All translations will be double checked by a second translator prior to delivery. This guarantees our high quality standards. You will be sure of receiving an accurate and polished translation.

We build, maintain and provide (where required) glossaries of terms to ensure consistency in the translation process. This guarantees that every translation is identical in style to previous projects delivered to the client. Our translators have access to our own-build legal and pharmaceutical glossaries and terminology database. Every workplace is equipped with state-of-the-art software which helps us to do our job. Different CAT (computer aided translation) tools are used to organise the work and to ensure the quality.

Our fees for a translation

In general, the exact price of a translation can only be quoted after we have reviewed the whole text that is to be translated. Some factors are quite obvious, such as the length of the text, i.e. how many words we do have to translate. Other factors are the degree of difficulty, whether special research is needed to find the correct terminology and how soon the translation is needed; we offer after-hour services and/or weekend services but we are charging for them.

Our pricing is competitive compared to other major providers on the market. Furthermore, we offer substantial additional discounts on all translations over 25,000 words. Please contact us for further details.

The prices for a quality translations range from £0.12 to £0.16 per word. So, if you have a 1,000-word document, it will cost between £120 and £160 for translation. Please note that these are the costs for translation only. If you have special requirements regarding layout or format, we will charge for the amount of time needed.

If you are not based in the UK our quotation and invoice will be either in USD or EUR if you wish so. We will make a binding lump-sum offer in advance, based on the source text you send to us. If you cannot provide us with the full source text in advance, we will send you a quote for the price per word; in order to allow this calculation, we will need some excerpt or similar text.

Our customers are asked to pay within 10 days of delivery of the translated document unless agreed otherwise. Upon receipt of your translation you will also get an invoice with all the information for making the payment. Terms and Conditions apply.
